Lights, camera, action…

The past few days were super busy, but so worth while.  Not only did I get to be photographed for the upcoming Mizuno catalog and website, but I got to be around some very amazing people.  I joined four of my Mizuno teammates (Jen Houck, Heidi Westover, Antonio Vega, Tyler McCandless) in Atlanta along with some very important Mizuno employees that made the photo shoot happen!

I got to know the other Mizuno athletes better and realized what a great group we have.  Each person brings something special to Mizuno and represents Mizuno in a very positive way.  I am very proud to be a part of such a great team/company.  As we  bonded over runs, dinners and time between shoots I learned so much about each athlete and about Mizuno as a company and the individual parts that make up the running division.  We had fun trying on the new, not yet released clothing and shoes (although for me, trying to squeeze my size 11 foot into a size 8 was the only not so fun part!)  At least I got to pretend my feet were small for a few hours!

We all arrived in Atlanta Monday afternoon and evening and were kept very busy the entire time.   We were up early to rise each morning to run before the photo shoots and to bed late due to the long hours.  Day one was in Stone Mountain Park about 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta, while day two was in the city.  Each were very different locations but gave us a true feel for Atlanta.  We got treated to an amazing steak dinner Tuesday evening and were treated like superstars the entire time.  What fun!

I have a few photos (they are in my slideshow under the photo tab) I took before my camera died, but will post more once Jen sends them to me (she took tons of photos)!  I am happy to be home but enjoyed the experience so much and am sad it went by so quick.  It was so fun to be able to represent Mizuno and I feel very lucky to have had this opportunity.  Mizuno is a great, close knit family and it’s great to be a part of that family.

Until next time…
