My love affair with Whole Foods…

Ever since moving to Colorado 9 years ago I’ve loved having access to Whole Foods! Living in Boulder during the first few years, made it convenient and easy for me to get my favorite organic foods, baked goods (the vegan chocolate chip cookie is out of this world delicious), and grass fed organic meats & seafood to name a few.

However, moving out of Boulder to a suburb about 15 miles away has made my WF outings less frequent. Less frequent may be the case but when I do go there, I hang out and “lollygag” so to speak, savoring my experience. With that being said I am so excited for the opening of a new WF in the Bradburn Community in Westminster. The opening date, scheduled for December 9th will make my trips to WF more frequent & nonetheless still memorable!

A particular love of mine that WF offers is their oatmeal bar!  This is one of my favorite things to do after a run. It equals quick and nourishing recovery with amazing healthy options to top the creamy & pure oatmeal! My fave toppings include blueberries, cinnamon, raw coconut, honey or agave, walnuts and almonds (sometimes I’ll add a little bacon from the salad bar)! Delicious and inexpensive!  It provides a perfect blend of carbs, protein, and healthy fats and is perfect in the cold winter months. It warms you up from the inside out! I’m super excited to have this close by for the many days I run the beautiful trails around my house and the Bradburn community!

Follow my blog and Twitter handle (@kfzruns) for more WF adventures in the upcoming months!  I’ll share my loves, my favorites, my adventures, and my insight on the new Bradburn Whole Foods!

Until next time…

  1. Wow! Makes me want to try that oatmeal bar, and I will!
